FAQ

Frequently Asked Legal Questions

What legal services do you provide?

We advise on immigration and nationality law, civil litigation, employment law, and landlord-tenant and debt recovery matters — covering everything from visa applications and sponsorship licences to contract disputes, unfair dismissal claims, and rent arrears recovery.

How do I schedule a consultation?

You can book online via our booking system or call our office directly to arrange an appointment with a solicitor. We'll ask a few brief questions about your matter so we can connect you with the right specialist.

Do you represent individual and business clients?

Yes, we act for individuals, families, landlords, and businesses of all sizes, across all of our practice areas.

Can I change or reschedule my appointment?

Yes, appointments can be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Just contact our office by phone or email and we'll find a time that works, subject to your solicitor's availability.

How long does a legal case usually take?

It depends on the complexity of your matter and, where relevant, Home Office or court processing times. We'll give you a realistic timeframe during your initial consultation, and keep you updated at each key stage.

How can I contact my assigned lawyer?

Your solicitor/caseworker will give you their direct phone number and email once you're instructed, so you can reach them without going through a general switchboard. For non-urgent queries, our office team can also pass on messages and updates.

Do you provide ongoing legal updates?

Yes. Your solicitor will keep you informed by phone and email at each key stage of your matter, and you're welcome to ask for an update at any time in between.

What happens if urgent legal assistance is needed

Contact our office directly by phone and let us know your matter is urgent. We prioritise time-sensitive issues, particularly immigration and litigation deadlines, and will arrange for a solicitor to respond as quickly as possible.

What should I bring to my first consultation?

It helps to bring any relevant documents. For example, correspondence from the Home Office, a tenancy agreement, an employment contract, or details of the dispute you're facing. If you're not sure what's relevant, don't worry: your solicitor will tell you exactly what's needed once they understand your situation.

Do you offer remote consultations?

Yes, we offer phone and video consultations for clients who prefer flexible, remote support, alongside in-person appointments at our office.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer and debit/credit card.

Will I receive a legal service invoice?

Yes. Every matter includes a clear, itemised invoice setting out our fees, any disbursements (such as court or Home Office fees), and applicable VAT.

How are legal fees calculated?

Depending on the matter, we charge either a fixed fee or an hourly rate. The basis for charging is agreed and confirmed with you in writing before we start work, so there are no surprises.

Can I request a detailed cost breakdown?

Yes. We're happy to provide a clear breakdown of our professional fees, any disbursements, and VAT, both at the outset and as your matter progresses.
